This challenge tries your writing skills: not only writing different genres, but most of all flexibility and working through unexpected obstacles. Additionally, you get to try writing "in medias res" - if you don't remember what it was about, read my post about STRUCTURE.
Day 1
Write 700 words as if you were writing a romance novel. Start with the first step of in medias res, which is action.
Day 2
Write 700 more words, this time switch to mystery. Second step in medias res is rising action.
Day 3
Write 700 more words, this time switch to horror or thriller. Third part of in medias res is explanation.
Day 4
Write 700 more words, this time switch to adventure. Fourth part of in medias res is climax.
Day 5
Write 700 more words, this time switch to slice of life. This part is called falling action.
Day 6
Write the last 700 words. This time it's going to be in fantasy, and this part is called resolution.
Your challenge is completed! You have finished a short story of 4200 words, using six different genres! Good job!
