I STRUGGLE WITH...
1. Actually finishing a story
It's just so much more entertaining to start a few new ones... And it gives more dopamine as well...
2. Actually writing a story after finishing all the preparations
Because once it's all planned out, I sometimes lose interest in actually writing it...
3. Forgetting names
There's just too many. Doesn't matter if it's a MC.
4. Putting more time and energy into writing research and blog entries than into actual writing
Procrastination goes hard.
5. Repeating phrases
So many times I want to put a smile on a character's face just to realize he was smiling since three sentences ago.
6. Language mess
As a bilingual person writing in their third language, writing does get messy at times.
7. Wishing to finish a story way too early on.
I honestly think it's because of the issue number 1.
8. Writing stupid & smart characters
I just have the tendency to write characters who are similarly intelligent and forget things are a little more complex in reality.
9. SHOW NOT TELL.
10. Pacing
Sometimes I forget the characters should stop just to breathe from time to time.
