8. THE HOBBIT by J.R.R. TOLKIEN
• taught me a lot about world building
• it was a beautiful example of how you're supposed to write fantasy
• traveling towards a distant goal and setting in a rich in detail fantasy world - love it!
7. YOUR NAME by MAKOTO SHINKAI
• very first anime I watched, and one that made me fall in love with Japan
• shows how one can use symbols in their story, and how to write a beautiful love story that's absolutely not cliche
6. PAMIĘTNIK NARKOMANKI by BARBARA ROSIEK
• a Polish book🩵
• about mental health struggles, very rough and brutal, relatable, helped me numerous times and influenced how I write
5. NORWEGIAN WOOD by HARUKI MURAKAMI
• inspired me to write about human's psyche more
• again very harsh and uncensored, slaps you in the face with reality and moves on
• such a good portrayal of mental illnesses
4. RANGER'S APPRENTICE by JOHN FLANAGAN
• influenced both my personal life (started new hobbies because of it) and my writing style
• the MC deeply resonated with me, being a weak and "different" guy who just learns every day to become stronger and fight away the evil... Yes.
3. GAME OF THRONES by GEORGE MARTIN
• fell in love with how uncensored this series is. It's just so realistic and brutal, and I love it
• will never not be impressed by the amount of characters he came up with
• let's cry in *unfinished series*
2. HARRY POTTER by J.K.ROWLING
• I don't support Rowling as a person, I don't support her actions in the slightest... But the influence and importance this series had in my life is undeniable. I've read all the book numerous times and it began my love for fantasy worlds
1. THE WITCHER by ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI
• another Polish book🩵
• obsessed for many years now
• the most influential series in my life; reshaped my writing style once and forever
• I love this series with my whole soul

Awesome list, someone is really biased towards fantasy :D
